City sightseeing specialist Big Bus Tours will assess agent response to a new online training programme for its London itineraries with a view to replicating it for other cities.
The company offers bus tours in 16 cities around the world, and offers starting commission rates of 20%.
Big Bus London is set to unveil its online training course in the next month, and sales and marketing manager Bernice Windley said the success of the programme could lead to more being added in the future.
Speaking at World Travel Market, she said: “We want to work more closely with travel agents, and if (the course) is a success, then we’ll look at possibly rolling it out across other cities.”
Windley added that the company was introducing a new CRM system for the trade, with plans to bring in new communication tools including regular e-blasts to agents.
