Best of Britain & Ireland show unveils seminar programme

The Best of Britain & Ireland trade show has introduced a new seminar programme and an international hosted buyer programme for its 2015 event.

BOBI 2015 will take place at Birmingham’s NEC on March 11-12, with more than 300 domestic exhibitors and around 3,000 trade visitors including travel agents, buyers and group travel organisers expected to attend.

Confirmed exhibitors include Visit England, Visit Wales, Visit Scotland and Tourism Ireland alongside leading brands such as Hilton Worldwide, Ticketmaster and Marriott Hotels.

Other exhibitors include Albatross, Amazing Venues, Etoa, Shakespeare’s England and West Midlands Safari Park.

The new seminar programme will include a Tourism Political Question Time, hosted by the Tourism Society. Travel Weekly and sister title travelGBI, which are media partners for the event, will also host a seminar focused on trends in the domestic sector.

Tracey Rogers, marketing and promotions executive for Visit Wales, said: “Visit Wales is delighted to return to BOBI in 2015 following the success of 2014 and demand is high, so there will be even more partners in the Wales Pavilion.”

Louise Fitzpatrick, national account manager for travel trade at Marriott Hotels, said: “BOBI is the only domestic leisure show at which we exhibit, and it is a great place to meet with exisiting and new clients.

“We have seen a good ROI in the past three years by attending the show and look forward to seeing it continue to grow.”
