Aer Lingus adds UK to Nashville flights via Dublin

Aer Lingus has introduced routes to Nashville via Dublin from eight UK airports, allowing passengers to cut down waiting times by completing US customs pre-clearance in Ireland.

The flights are on sale now and will begin service in April 2025 from Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Heathrow, Manchester and Southampton.

They will operate four times a week on the airline’s new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, with the routes running year-round apart from a six-week suspension in January and February.

Aer Lingus chief customer officer Susanne Carberry said: “We are thrilled to add Nashville to our expanding North American network, offering customers access to one of the most exciting and culturally rich cities in the United States.”

She added: “Nashville’s iconic status as the capital of country music makes it a dream destination for music lovers. Its fast-growing fashion, finance, healthcare and automotive industries also offer plenty of opportunities for business travellers.”

Fares start from £599 return, with outbound flights operating every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

Dublin airport’s pre-clearance facility means customers are effectively on US soil once they have completed the immigration and customs formalities.
