Travel House creates ITV advert with generative AI

Travel House has worked with ITV to create the Welsh agency’s first TV advertisement, using generative artificial intelligence (AI).

Viewers of ITV1 and ITVX in the ITV Wales region will see the advert, as the Swansea-based chain of 16 shops looks to raise its profile in south Wales.

Travel House worked with ITV’s expanded commercial creative production service, which makes uses GenAI production to make advertising more accessible to small businesses.

Katie Davies, Travel House marketing executive, said: “We are excited to see our TV advert on TV and are confident this innovative production approach will be a significant benefit and revenue driver for Travel House.

“We look forward to seeing the positive impact it brings to our business.”

The Hays Travel-owned agency said attaining the required high production value of the advert within budget was made possible by using GenAI, in a process that expanded ITV Commercial’s normal creative process to include licensed Generative AI image and video tools alongside ITV’s voiceover artists.

Jason Spencer, ITV business development director, said: “Too often the cost of making an advert is a barrier for brands looking to expand their visibility on TV.

“By expanding our existing creative production services to include GenAI, we can make the power of TV advertising accessible to all.

“We are constantly innovating to find better ways to help brands grow, and by introducing a GenAI option we’re able to create high quality ads for an accessible cost.”
