Protected Trust Services (PTS) has increased its franchise Atol offering by 4,000 passengers on the back of a rise in members.
A total of 126 firms have opted to adopt the PTS model this year, including homeworkers, retail agents and operators.
This has prompted the rise in the franchise Atol from 1,000 passengers as standard to 5,000.
The scheme available to PTS members allows businesses to hold their own licence without the need for a bond due to operating via a trust account.
This provides a “considerably cheaper” alternative from a standard Atol issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.
As a franchise holder, PTS takes away “the stress” of Atol protection contributions and quarterly reporting from members.
Executive director Emma Collis said: “There has been a visual turn in membership dynamics in 2024 compared to previous years, prominently those joining us now are larger trading businesses who are focused on growth and the freedom and flexibility PTS offer to take their businesses to the next level.
“They want to branch out into dynamically packaging by obtaining Atol licences, expand by collaborating with new suppliers, recruiting homeworkers, and broadening their market presence through other agents.
“This new and increased offering is just a further benefit we can now offer our members, new and existing, that supports and enhances them on their journey.”
PTS is to focus on technology developments in 2025, with updates due to be announced in the new year.
