Emerald Cruises hails ‘significant milestone’ in construction of third yacht

Emerald Cruises has hailed “a significant milestone” in the construction of third luxury yacht, Emerald Kaia, with a keel-laying ceremony in Vietnam.

The cruise line has also unveiled updated renders of Emerald Kaia, which will make its debut in April 2026.

Glen Moroney, chairman and founder of Scenic Group, said: “The keel-laying of Emerald Kaia marks another exciting step forward in our vision for redefining the yachting experience.

“Building on the tremendous success of Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara, Emerald Kaia reflects our commitment to innovation, luxury, and sustainability. We thank the skilled team at MKM Yachts for bringing this vision to life.”

Emerald Kaia will accommodate 128 guests, with 88% of cabins featuring verandas.

Highlights include an Observation Sun Deck, wellness areas with a 50% larger spa and swim-up platform allowing for direct access to the ocean from the fitness centre.

It will offer itineraries in the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean and Seychelles.

Bookings for its inaugural season already open, with cruises visiting ports in Venice, Dubrovnik and Athens.
