Scott Dunn named 100th member of Conscious Travel Foundation

The non-profit Conscious Travel Foundation has seen membership rise to more than 100.

Scott Dunn, the 100th new member, and Jacada Travel are among the latest UK-based operators to join, alongside The Unforgettable Travel Company and Steppes Travel.

Further new members include Inclusive Morocco, ABOUTAsia (Cambodia), Panoramic Journeys (Mongolia), Reefscape (UK) and The Tailor (Australia).

New properties include OKU Hotels, Riad Botanica (Morocco), Nikoi and Cempedek Islands (Indonesia), Uga Escapes (Sri Lanka) and UK marketing agency, Canopy Marketing.

The Conscious Travel Foundation has seen a significant increase in tour operator memberships following a decision to welcome larger companies in late 2024.

The expansion was driven by growing demand for learning resources, industry support and peer-to-peer collaboration.

The Conscious Travel Foundation co-founders Maudie Tomlinson and Olivia Cryer said: “Scott Dunn joining us on our journey is a real milestone for the foundation, as alongside co-founder Amy Welfare, we have a personal connection to the company, having all previously worked at Scott Dunn.

“It feels like we have come full circle and we are excited to be able to support Charlie and the team.”

Scott Dunn sustainability and nature positive lead Charlie Darlington added: “Our newly formed sustainability committee received over 40 applications for 11 representative positions, which is a testament to the passion and drive amongst our team to do more for the natural world and communities in the places they operate in, and closer to home.

“Joining The Conscious Travel Foundation will enable us to build on our existing knowledge, learn from industry experts and guide our next steps as a team.”

Natalie Lyall-Grant, positive impact manager at Jacada Travel, added: “We’ve always believed that travel can be a powerful tool for creating positive change, and put a firm focus on cross-sector collaboration, expanding our partnerships with industry experts and NGOs to enhance our ability to drive positive change.

“We see joining The Conscious Travel Foundation as a way for us to deepen our commitment to responsible travel, connect with like-minded businesses, and continue to educate ourselves on current best practice. Being a part of a collective also helps us to demonstrate the transparency and accountability that we believe is integral to responsible tourism.”
