Bed bank Getabed will not replace former sales director Mark Hopper, instead moving to restructure the sales team.
Hopper left the company last month to take up a role as UK and Ireland country manager at Bedsonline.
Speaking to Travel Weekly, Getabed managing director Tony Quinn said that following Hopper’s departure, the focus would be put on increasing face-to-face interaction with agents.
“We have restructured our international sales team and are getting our boots on the ground.
Alison Broom has been appointed as business development manager for the south and we have also appointed someone in the same role in the Middle East.
“I will be taking on a more active role with our top 15 accounts and the overall emphasis of the company will focus more on visiting agencies and increasing our presence in stores.”
Getabed will now have four business development managers across the globe.
