Thomas Cook rewards staff with Big Apple trip

The 12-strong team at Thomas Cook’s South Sheilds branch beat 385 shops to scoop the award for top shop ’98 for their outstanding performance in customer satisfaction and sales. A team of directors, including managing director Andrew Wilson, will step in and run the agency when the team jets off on their prize New York trip later in the year. The award was announced at the recent retail conference in Sun City, South Africa where branch manager, Sandra Thompson also received two first-class tickets to South Africa and a 10-night stay in any Sun International Hotel from conference sponsor South African Airways.
