X-TANT has speeded up the time it takes to process credit card payments by improving its Transtrac on-screen authorisation service.
Agents can now hold a booking on screen, swipe their client’s credit card through a slot on their keyboard, and wait for a simple confirmation message to come through from Transtrac.
Previously the booking and the payment had to be two separate transactions.
X-TANT will provide agents with the necessary interface for their back-office systems for no extra charge.
Meanwhile, X-TANT has introduced two national telephone numbers for agents dialling into its viewdata network. X-TANTsales and marketing director Kerry Wilce said the numbers – 0845 4552036 for agents using PCs and 0845 4552037 for those using viewdata terminals – guaranteed network access. “Agents will be routed to the nearest communications port for the price of a local call,” he added.
