Broadway Travel appoints Hugh Morgan to board

Broadway Travel Group has appointed Cosmos Tours & Cruises executive chairman Hugh Morgan to its board as non-executive chairman to help spearhead further growth for the OTA and consortium.

Morgan, who was previously Monarch Travel Group chairman until October 2014, and took up his new role at Cosmos Tours & Cruises only last month, will commence his position with Broadway in January 2016.

Broadway Travel Group managing director, Adam Pardini, said: “Broadway has successfully developed and grown to such an extent that we need a strategic person with strong leadership qualities to help advise, direct and structure the existing board.

“Hugh has a tremendous amount of relevant experience within our specific sector of the market, from tour operating to dynamic packaging, bed banks and contracting, sides of the business that we are looking to grow.

“With the focus on increasing profitability across the group, Hugh will be involved in the key decision-making processes where we can benefit from the vast experience he has, and we are looking forward to working alongside him in the coming months in this exciting period for the business.”

Morgan said of his new non-executive chairmanship: “Broadway Travel has grown significantly over the past years both organically and by acquisition and l am delighted to be associated with such a dynamic organisation.”

Pardini revealed he was in talks with three sizeable agents about potentially joining Broadway in 2016.
