A four-year-old boy from the UK has reportedly drowned in a pool in Torrevieja, southeast Spain.
He was dead by the time emergency services arrived at the holiday complex on the Costa Blanca on Wednesday evening, local authorities said.
It is thought that the boy and his parents had only recently arrived in the city for a holiday, the Guardian reported
A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesman said: “Following the death of a British national in Spain, we are providing support to their family. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
