Classic Travel makes switch from Worldchoice to Advantage

Worldchoice member Classic Travel has switched sides to join rival consortium, the Advantage Travel Partnership.

The long-established Essex-based agency specialises in the luxury sector and is run by husband and wife team Yvonne and Peter Holmes.

Advantage announced that the company had joined its ranks after 25 year with its previous membership organisation.

It came as Advantage members gathered for their annual overseas conference on board MSC Cruises’ ship MSC Fantasia in the Mediterranean.

The Loughton-based company said: “Although we have been in business for a number of years, we are always keen to try and improve the way in which we do things.

“Colleagues in the industry had been saying to us for some time that we should consider joining the Advantage Travel Partnership and when we spoke to them we immediately knew that it was the right place for us.

“Although we have only recently joined the organisation, we have already had a visit from our dedicated business development consultant.

“All the early signs indicate that we have made the right move and we can’t wait to get involved with the wide range of business development activity offered.”

Advantage business development director, Colin O’Neill, said: “As an organisation, we are always keen to grow the overall membership, but this is very much on the basis of quality over quantity.

“We are clearly delighted that a business with the pedigree of Classic Travel has chosen to make the move to us after so many years with their previous organisation. We are confident that there will be no looking back.”
