KD River Cruises will be using its stand at the Germany Travel Show to step up promotion of on-board conference and incentives trips.
Assistant sales and marketing director Wendy Smith said: “We have been organising conferences and incentive trips on an on-going basis over the last few years and are now planning to proactively promote them.
“So far we have seen an uptake in the insurance, pharmaceuticals and car industries, but we think they will appeal to any large company that is looking for something different.”
KD has produced a glossy leaflet showing the interior and exterior of the vessels, which will be available at the show from sales director Mike Flanagan. Prices start at around £10,000 a day to charter a boat on the Rhine for 150 people.
In its 1999 programme, which runs from May to September, KD’s packages for the leisure market start at around £995 for a seven-night luxury Rhine cruise.
The itinerary operates from Dusseldorf to Basle at the foot of the Swiss Alps and back, with stops in Heidelberg, for touring the town’s castle and medieval centre, and Koblenz, where there is an excursion to a wine cellar. Prices include return flights to Dusseldorf with British Airways and full board accommodation.
