Drunken passenger who made death threats on easyJet flight arrested

A passenger was arrested after allegedly abusing passengers and threatening to kill his girlfriend and child while on board an easyJet flight.

Police detained the man at Corfu airport after he allegedly drank a bottle of vodka on the flight from Manchester airport.

Witnesses said the 24-year-old, believed to be from Liverpool, was drinking his own bottle of vodka brought on board in his hand luggage.

Speaking to travellers returning to the UK on the same aircraft, the pilot described the air rage incident as a “nightmare”.

He said: “We have had a nightmare. The man threatened our cabin crew, me and passengers, and then threatened to kill his girlfriend and children who were on the flight with him.

“I’ve been told by the Greek authorities that he will be receiving a six-month suspended prison sentence,” The Mirror reported.
