GLOBESPAN is claiming to have introduced the first wide-bodied aircraft service between Edinburgh and Toronto.
The launch of weekly Tri-Star flights follows previous services from the Scottish capital on smaller aircraft. Globespan’s Canadian airline partner Air Transat will operate the route until the end of October.
The seat-only operator’s marketing director Iain Mayer said demand had grown on the service in recent years leading to the introduction of the Tri-Star. The aircraft is configured in two cabins. The Club Transat premium cabin offers wider seats, extra leg-room and improved catering.
Globespan is also offering Aberdeen and Glasgow flights to Toronto.
