The chief executive of Kuoni Group’s Global Travel Services (GTS) has stepped down.
Rolf Schafroth “has decided to explore new opportunities outside of the Kuoni Group,” the Swiss company said.
He will leave the business by mid-September after a short handover period.
Advisory board chairman Walter Gehl will lead GTS as executive chairman on an interim basis and will continue further development of GTS as planned, Kuoni added.
“An external succession search has already been initiated. A successor will be communicated in the course of the next months,” the company said.
Schafroth has held various management roles at Kuoni for more than 20 years.
