Ryanair unveils new Glasgow routes for summer 2017

New routes from Glasgow to Lisbon, Palanga in Lithuania, Valencia and Zadar in Croatia are being introduced by Ryanair for next summer.

A service from Prestwick to Barcelona (Girona) is also being added as the budget carrier raises capacity from the Glasgow area by 18% for summer 2017.

Routes that will also run next summer from Glasgow international airport include Alicante, Brussels, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Malaga and Sofia while frequency to Berlin is raised to six flights a week.

Three flights a day will operate to both Dublin and Stansted.

Prestwick sees more frequency on routes to Ibiza, Palma and Tenerife.

Chief executive Michael O’Leary said: “Customers can look forward to even lower fares when they make advance bookings for summer 2017.

“As our recent guidance confirmed, Ryanair expects average fares to fall by between 10% to 12% in the six months to March 2017.”
