FESTIVALCruises is planning to invite 400-500 agents to tour its new ship Mistral when it visits the UK at the end of June.
UKmanaging director Graham Smith said Mistral’s stop in the UK would be possible because the ship is due to be completed two weeks earlier than expected. Delivery is forecast for June 3.
“We would like to invite agents for lunch or dinner on the ship. Agents may also be able to bring their clients along,” said Smith.
Details of the stopover port and dates will be announced shortly.
The inaugural Mistral voyage, named Grecian Treasures, departs on July 17 from Venice. The lead-in price for one week is ú1,005 per person.
Following a series of Greek cruises, Mistral will carry out an eastern Mediterranean itinerary including Turkey and Cyprus during November.
On December 7, the ship will depart on a transatlantic crossing to Guadeloupe, which will become its base for a winter season in the Caribbean.
