IF British Airways hoped its nemesis Stelios Haji-Ioannou would run out of money to fund EasyJet, it should think again.
The mega-wealthy Greek businessman has been valued at ú187m in The Sunday Times rich list.
This promotes Stelios to the 124th richest person in the UK – up from 668th last year – and third in the travel-rich league.
However, even Stelios’ rise through the ranks cannot displace Richard Branson from the top.
He is the number one travel magnate with a ú1.2bn fortune, the 10th largest in the UK.
Second richest travel boss is Airtours chairman David Crossland, who has ú390m in his coffers.
Other notable millionaires are British Midland chairman Sir Michael Bishop with ú100m.
Meanwhile, Holiday Autos chairman and chief executive Clive Jacobs is only the 859th richest person in the UK, with a paltry ú25m.
He is tied in that position with Noel Gallagher of Oasis, if that’s any comfort.
