Cosmos has appointed a head of strategic purchasing in a bid to take greater control of its European bedstock.
Mark Oakes, who was previously senior commercial manager at Going Places, will be responsible for investigating overseas alliances and long-term contracts.
The move follows growing concern over the lack of accommodation in major European resorts.
Cosmos is talking to similar-sized companies in Holland, Germany and Italy and is expected to make an announcement within two months.
Oakes will report to purchasing director Kieran Tobin.
