ALL 352 Advantage franchise agents will be rebranded by the end of April as the consortium’s alliance with Airtours continues to gather momentum.
Commercial director Neil Armorgie said 85% of shops will have new fascias by Easter with the remainder completed by April 22.
“It was important to rebrand as quickly as possible and have an immediate presence on the high street,” he said. It will be followed by a media advertising campaign focusing on the independence of the consortium.
Meanwhile, Armorgie said negotiations with operators for increased commission, currently being conducted by Going Places, should be completed by mid-April in time for the launch of summer 2000.
He said no operator had refused to renegotiate.
“They have recognised the improved discipline we will have and are willing to pay,” said Armorgie.
He insisted the Advantage conference in the Algarve next month will not be used to sell the franchise option to ordinary members.
“Non-franchised members have made their decision and we are still committed to them,” he said. “They will continue to receive favourable commission rates.”
