Sunworld eyes new home in Bradford

SUNWORLD is to close all its northern offices and relocate the operation to new headquarters in Bradford.

Thomas Cook has revealed that 230 customer service and Information Technology staff will transfer from Pudsey and Rawdon from October with 111 reservations, administration, sales, finance and Club 18-30 reunions and promotions staff moving from Bolton in June.

UK tour operating managing director Simon Vincent said:”The new office is a little further from Bolton than we hoped but we have been searching for suitable premises for seven months.”

A move to consolidate its southern offices is still being carried out.

It currently has offices in Bromley and London and is keen to centralise operations in one location.

Vincent said those employees unable to relocate to Bradford will be given a chance to apply for the 60 vacancies within the retail network in the Manchester area and at Manchester airport-based Flying Colours Airlines.

More than 25 jobs will also be created at a new travel centre due to open in Manchester city centre in thesummer.

Meanwhile, Thomas Cook plans to create 200 jobs at its Falkirk call centre by next year.
