The five councils that own Leeds/Bradford Airport are looking to sell off a minority of the Yorkshire facility. Interested parties are being invited them to make offers. A final decision on shareholders will be made at the end of the summer to leave the councils with 51%ownership.

Air 2000 has signed an engineering contract for its aircraft with Monarch worth ú40m. The six-year deal starts on May 1 at Monarch’s Manchester base to service the First Choice-owned carrier’s25-strong fleet.
n alitalia extends daily flights from gatwick
Alitalia starts daily Pisa and Rome flights from Gatwick on March 28. The services complement existingdouble-daily Gatwickservices to Bologna and Venice. The carrier is also adding an Heathrow-Milan flight this summer to give it eight services from theLondon airport.
