THEGREATDAYS Travel Group has bought London-based inbound tour operator Panita Travel for an undisclosed sum.
Panita, which has eight staff, will be renamed Greatdays Panita Travel. It will continue to specialise in business from Germany, Austria and eastern European countries. Anita Bannister, who set up Panita in 1974, will stay as a consultant.
Greatdays European Travelhouse, an existing arm of Greatdays, will handle the rest of the company’s inbound business.
Greatdays managing director John Beaumont said: “Panita fits into our portfolio well. We are still looking to buy other small companies in London in specialist, niche markets.” The acquisition takes Greatdays’ total staff to 44.
