Brymon Airways is stepping up in-house training next month under the guidance of British Airways manager Tracey Lee.
Lee was seconded to the airline in 1998 on a two-year contract after 10 years with BA.
As Brymon general manager customer service and operations, Lee is using BA computer packages to offer enhanced staff training from next month.
The sessions will include information on Brymon’s place within the Oneworld global airline alliance.
Lee has also reorganised the carrier’s customer service centre at its Plymouth headquarters to offer a more efficient service.
She said: “The mix of BA and Brymon is an asset, but we can still bring the personal touch at Brymon.”
The airline’s operations department will also be computerised under Lee during the summer.
