Atlantic Airways’ Gatwick-Faroes link to operate again next summer

Atlantic Airways’ non-stop service between Gatwick and Vagar airport in the Faroe Islands will return for next summer.

The Faroe Islands’ national carrier launched the new summer route from Gatwick in June, with departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays running until August 31.

Next year, the twice-weekly flight will operate every Tuesday and Saturday from May 31 until August 30, 2025. The flights will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft and take just over two hours.

Atlantic Airways said the Gatwick service will return “by popular demand”.

The carrier also offers direct year-round flights from Edinburgh.

The 18 islands of the Faroes in the north Atlantic are halfway between Iceland and Norway.
