‘Biggest’ Jet2 winter programme to Iceland takes off

The biggest winter programme to Iceland by Jet2.com and JetCityBreaks started today (Wednesday) with flights from Leeds Bradford and Newcastle airports.

Departures from Birmingham and Manchester for the winter follow tomorrow.

Twice-weekly flights will run from the four airports in late-September, October, November, February, March and April.

Additional trips to Iceland will also operate from Belfast International, Bristol, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Glasgow and Stansted either in November or between February and March, 2024.

More than 30,000 seats are available to Keflavík airport near Reykjavik on more than 150 flights, an increase in capacity of almost 40% over last compared winter.

Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “This marks the start of our biggest ever programme to this bucket list destination after experiencing increased demand from customers and independent travel agents, as travellers look to escape and enjoy the beauty of Iceland.

“Our customers are offered the best choice and flexibility when travelling to the Nordic Island with us, as Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have an unrivalled programme on sale, including scheduled flights and once-in-a-lifetime trips operating from ten of our UK airports for the first time.”
