Canada has reintroduced randomised Covid-19 testing for arrivals as the other countries around the world opt to lift measures originally designed to reduce infection rates.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) reported cases of Covid-19 had increased by 30% during the first two weeks of July due to Omicron sub-variants and the lifting of public health and social measures.
Canada said testing would either take place outside airports or via a virtual appointment for a self-swab test and positive test cases would isolate for 10 days.
Meanwhile, Greece has eased isolation requirements for tourists leaving the country to return home.
Currently, people who test positive must self-isolate for five days from the date of the test.
But travellers may leave self-isolation before the end of day five to travel back to the country of origin, provided a face mask is worn and they do not have a fever.
