Five people onboard a Japanese coastguard aircraft have been killed after it was involved in a collision with a Japan Airlines flight landing at Tokyo’s Haneda airport.
All 379 passengers and crew onboard the Japan Airlines aircraft were evacuated safely from the Airbus A350 before it was engulfed in flames.
The manufacturer confirmed it would be sending a team to assist with the accident investigation and said the collision had taken place at the point of landing.
Footage earlier showed a fireball as the aircraft came into land.
The aircraft was then seen at a standstill with emergency slides open and people running out as firefighters attempted to put out the blaze.
