Jet2holidays adds ‘thousands’ of free child places this summer

A free child place is being added by Jet2holidays onto every flight from the UK in June, July and August as the operator provides extra support to independent agents.

The company claimed “tens of thousands” of extra child places were now available this summer from 10 airports.

The offer is open to holidays booked through an independent travel agent that return on or before August 31.

Bookings must have at least two passengers paying the full adult price.

The campaign comes as Jet2.com and Jet2holidays insisted that neither had cancelled any flights due to staff shortages, despite international travel making headlines.

The group said it took action to recruit well ahead of the bounce-back from the pandemic.

As such, it has thousands of dedicated staff at UK airports as well as in main overseas airports and in resorts.

The new promotion has been designed to further boost the plans of thousands of UK holidaymakers this summer, after the last two years were affected by the pandemic.

Chief executive Steve Heapy said: “We want our independent travel agency partners to be at the heart of our summer plans this year, which is why we are telling them all about this fantastic new campaign.

“This is our biggest ever giveaway of free child places and although there are thousands of places available, we know that they will be enormously popular with families and family groups looking to get away so people will need to act quick to secure one.

“With more seats on sale than ever this summer, we are already looking ahead to a busy and successful summer, and this campaign will only help us deliver that.”
