Leeds Bradford airport re-opened at on Saturday after a Tui aircraft skidded off the runway the previous afternoon in heavy rain as Storm Babet battered the region.
The Boeing 737 came off the runway while landing from Corfu on Friday afternoon.
Other flights were diverted to airports such as Manchester due to the closure of the West Yorkshire airport until Saturday morning.
All 195 passengers and crew were able to leave the Tui aircraft via the steps with no injuries reported.
TUI Airways is assisting the government’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch with an investigation into the incident.
Leeds Bradford cautioned in a message on X/Twitter on Sunday night that while the airport was open as normal “a small level of disruption is expected for the upcoming days”.
Its ongoing guidance to passengers is to check with airlines for the status of flights before travelling to the airport.
The airport said that staff and partners had “worked tirelessly” throughout Friday night “in torrential conditions” to recover the aircraft in order to safely reopen the runway and airport.
“It has been a huge team effort from all corners of the airport and our partners. We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone involved in supporting the effort dealing with the incident, disruption and recovery of the aircraft in exceptionally difficult conditions.”
