The new European boss of Cathay Pacific has pledged to heighten the Hong Kong carrier’s presence in the region.
New regional general manager Europe Brian Tsoi succeeds Kinto Chan, who moves to a new role at Cathay’s headquarters.
Tsoi moves from being area manager for northern Europe, covering operations in Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
He was previously airport service delivery general manager, responsible for international airport operations at both the airline’s Hong Kong hub and overseas.
Tsoi has held various roles including learning and development, in-flight service, sales and product development since joining Cathay in 2005.
He has also held management positions in New Zealand, Indonesia, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and was a board member of Hong Kong Airport Service and LSG SkyChefs Hong Kong.
Tsoi said:“Ensuring that our customers receive premium service has always been a priority for me.
“The European market is a vital component of Cathay Pacific’s network, connecting major European cities with our hub in Hong Kong and the wider Asia Pacific region.
“I am committed to enhancing our presence in this market. It is a privilege to lead across all European markets, and I am excited about the challenges and opportunities that the future holds.”
