Ryanair saw passenger numbers rise by 11% year-on-year in May to reach almost 19 million.
Europe’s largest airline operated more than 105,000 flights last month and saw its load factor rise by one percentage point to 95% over May 2023.
The total carryings of 18.9 million showed an increase from 17.3 million in April.
The monthly performance gave the no-frills carrier a rolling annual total of 186.9 million passenger, up 9% on the 12 months to May 2023.
The figures compare with rival Wizz Air’s 2.1% increase in May carryings to 5.1 million released on Tuesday.
