St Kitts & Nevis unveil new travel guides at UK trade roadshow

Three new travel guides for the UK trade have been released by the St Kitts Tourism Authority.

The publications – covering travel, culinary options and cocktails – were unveiled during a three-day roadshow with Nevis Tourism Authority in Hertfordshire, Kent and Surrey.

A total of 75 agents and operators attended the events.

The roadshows included a networking session, dinner, presentations on the latest tourism developments on both St Kitts and Nevis, and updates from hotel representatives from the twin-islands.

More than 20 prizes were awarded. Nicole Kelly, Weald Travel; Sue Manuel, Symphony World Travel; and Samantha Preece,  Hays Travel; all won a place on a 2023 St Kitts fam trip.

Gary Borland, Waltham Abbey Travel, won a three-night stay at Hamilton Beach Villas, Nevis; Claire Humphrey, Reigate Travel, won a pair of British Airways return flights to St Kitts & Nevis; and Steve Finch, Travel Counsellors, went home with a three-night stay at Montpelier Plantation & Beach, Nevis.

St Kitts Tourism Authority chief executive  Ellison “Tommy” Thompson said: “We were delighted to be able to launch our three, new destination guides to our valued UK trade partners in person.

“The roadshow was a huge success, also giving us the opportunity to introduce our new federal minister of Tourism for St. Kitts & Nevis, Marsha T Henderson to the UK trade, update agents and operators on the new developments in St Kitts and reward them for their support with a prize-giving at each of the three events.

“We were also able to showcase our new brand campaign,  Venture Deeper, the essence of which is reflected in our new guides, which demonstrate the immersive experiences available to visitors to St. Kitts through its history, cultural and cuisine.”

Nevis Tourism Authority chief executive Devon Liburd added: said:“It’s always great to speak to our valued trade partners in person and this trip to the UK was no exception.

“With so much happening in Nevis, we were delighted to update the trade on all the exciting news from the island in 2022 – including news of Spice Girl Mel B’s appointment as ambassador – and to thank them for all their hard work in putting our small but mighty island on the map.”
