Virgin Atlantic launches Caribbean sale

Virgin Atlantic has launched a Caribbean sale, with fares to Antigua and Barbados starting from £349 return in economy cabins.

Its premium economy fares are from £599 and while upper class is from £1,399.

The airline serves Antigua from Heathrow, and Barbados from Heathrow and Manchester.

A seven-night room-only break in Barbados with Virgin Atlantic Holidays, with economy flights, costs from £619 per person.

Virgin Atlantic Holidays’ all-inclusive offering also includes savings on holidays in Antigua, with packages starting from £825.

The sale runs until the end of August.

Last month, the airline lifted capacity to the Caribbean following a surge in demand after the addition of Antigua, Barbados and Grenada to the government’s green list.

And Lee Haslett, its global sales vice-president, said travel agents have been Virgin Atlantic’s biggest sales channel over the last 18 months.

He told a recent Travel Weekly webcast that September is trading well and he expects good sales for the Caribbean into the winter months of October half term and December.
