Wizz Air to redirect Doncaster Sheffield arrivals after closure

Wizz Air has confirmed all routes to soon-to-close Doncaster Sheffield airport will transfer to Leeds Bradford airport from October 31.

Peel Group, which owns Doncaster Sheffield, this week said it will wind down the site due to “a fundamental lack of financial viability”.

The decision means Wizz Air will have to change existing routes in its network.

The carrier’s flights from Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca will continue to operate flights as planned until October 30, 2022.

Customers booked to travel on these routes after October 30 will automatically be rebooked onto flights operating to Leeds Bradford.

They will be given the option to accept the new flight, change their booking to an alternative flight free of charge or cancel their flight and receive a full refund.
