Ponant Explorations has revealed 16 voyages on its high polar expedition ship between October 2026 and March 2027.
Le Commandant Charcot, the line’s only icebreaker ship, will embark on a full winter crossing of the Great North.
This series will include three voyages around the Norwegian fjords and glaciers, four focusing on Nordic cities and the Baltic Sea and two exclusive itineraries on the St Lawrence river in Canada.
Highlights of each category of sailings include the eight-night ‘Polar Lights: From North Cape to the Lofoten Islands’ departing on October 24 and starting at €9,350.
The nine-night ‘Baltic Bliss & Winter Wonders’ cruise will have two departures on November 24 and December 12, which will lead in at €8,400.
The 14-night ‘From the St Lawrence to Greenland, the Last Moments of Winter’ will depart on March 13 and leads in at €18,430.
A range of winter activities will be available to passengers on these voyages, including: snowshoeing through the boreal forest, dogsledding or reindeer sleigh rides, ice-fishing and a chance to see the Northern Lights.
