The resort has undergone a transformation that will replicate the all-inclusive offering found at its Caribbean properties when it opens in June
The Iberostar Selection Albuferas resort in Majorca comprises two hotels: Iberostar Selection Albufera Park, specially designed for family holidays, and Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa, suited to all types of guests.
As part of its transformation, guests can now enjoy newly refurbished rooms, a delicious culinary offering and tailored facilities for children and adult fun, all included.
It’s located in a privileged beachfront location on Majorca’s north coast, Playa de Muro. This three-mile-long, white sandy stretch, with turquoise waters was voted the best beach in Spain by Tripadvisor users in 2022 and offers a great environment for kids to play and adults to relax.
Just a short walk away is the Albufera Natural Park – 5,000 acres of wetlands where visitors can go bird and nature watching along cycling and walking trails.
Rooms inspired by nature
All rooms have been fully refurbished with contemporary decor, inspired by the textures, colours and wildlife of the natural surroundings and the Mediterranean Sea. Each room, which offers full or partial sea views, or garden views, features a balcony or terrace for guests to relax on. For those looking for a more exclusive experience, there is also a selection of premium rooms with swim-up pools.
There are seven swimming pools dotted across the resort, available to guests from both hotels, including a large beachfront pool, a heated outdoor pool, children’s pools, an indoor spa pool and a spectacular rooftop pool with stunning views over the shimmering waters of the Mediterranean. All have been renovated or created using recycled materials.
Delicious cuisine
The new resort will offer nine restaurants and bars – three of which are à la carte – as part of the all-inclusive offering, so guests can enjoy natural, fresh and healthy homemade meals.
Martinete, a Spanish restaurant, offers a selection of authentic tapas and the most popular Spanish dishes, prepared with locally sourced ingredients.
Mexican restaurant, Nopal, is based around the concept of a traditional taco house. The dishes have been created by experienced chefs from Mexico and are served with a side of vibrant music. Then there’s Kiknos, a speciality restaurant offering delicious dishes that bring together the colours, aromas and flavours of Greece.
In addition, guests can enjoy two comfortable buffet restaurants offering the trademark Iberostar gastronomy, a beach grill buffet, a 24-hour Star Cafe, a lounge bar and ice cream parlour, IceDream.
A children’s playground
As part of the transformation, the Iberostar Selection Albufera Park has made its children’s pool bigger and has a reinvented Star Camp, Iberostar’s children’s entertainment offering. Combining fun and games, and tailored activities for three different age groups, Star Camp ensures children have a great time.
The food and drink is also designed with little ones in mind, with healthy and tasty food available at its buffets or themed restaurants.
Sustainability at its heart
The Iberostar portfolio places sustainability at the forefront of its proposal for guests, who can enjoy an unforgettable holiday, reassured that their visit has a positive impact on the sea, the local communities and the environment.
Iberostar Selection Albuferas resort is free of single-use plastics. Glass bottles can be found in every room for refilling at special water dispensers on every floor and in many of the public areas.
Recycled and environmentally friendly materials were used in the renovation and waste generated is being reused, donated or recycled.
All electricity across the resort comes from renewable sources so your clients can be sure their holiday will have minimal impact on the environment.
