An array of accommodation and activities make this Caribbean destination perfect for family fun
What makes the ideal family holiday? A great choice of accommodation for every budget, world-class water parks and a dose of culture are a good start. Add some sun, picture-perfect Bahamian beaches and warm Caribbean waters to the mix, and Nassau & Paradise Island tick all the boxes.
With direct flights to Nassau leaving the UK every day – British Airways flies daily and Virgin Atlantic three times a week in winter and twice a week in summer – it couldn’t be easier for your clients to escape to paradise.
Fast-paced fun
In Nassau & Paradise Island, the sun shines for 300 days of the year. Luckily, there is a host of resorts ideally positioned for enjoying the rays.
On the shore of Cable Beach, Baha Mar is a large resort comprising three hotels: Grand Hyatt, SLS and Rosewood. The Explorer’s Club offers a packed activity schedule that teaches three to 12-year-olds all about Bahamian culture.
Over at Atlantis Paradise Island, animal lovers can marvel at more than 250 species of marine life in The Dig aquarium, or head to Dolphin Cay, which is home to dolphins and sea lions, and is the site of conservation projects. Plus, with 42 eateries spread across the resort, there’s something to satisfy every palate.
Boutique beauty
As well as vibrant resorts, there are also options for a more low-key family getaway.
The 18th-century Graycliff Hotel features a pool surrounded by 20 rooms, including suites that sleep up to four. There’s an on‑site chocolatier and, thanks to the hotel’s downtown location, must-see attractions are within easy reach, including the Queen’s Staircase and Educulture Junkanoo Museum.
The chic Goldwynn Resort & Residences, which opened last year, is home to 81 rooms and suites, as well as a beachfront infinity pool that offers unparalleled ocean views.
