This vibrant destination in southeast Asia is within easy reach

If your clients are looking for a long-haul destination that’s full of fascinating culture and heritage, home to an abundance of wildlife in dense rainforests, lush mangroves and vast nature reserves, and boasts incredibly beautiful islands and beaches, then look no further than Malaysia.

This southeast Asian destination is located primarily on the Malay peninsula and on parts of the island of Borneo, as well as across hundreds of smaller islands.

And the country is within easy reach thanks to Qatar Airways’ daily flights from the UK to Kuala Lumpur and Penang. With spacious cabins, sumptuous meals and unbeatable service, your clients will have a seamless and enjoyable journey to this destination.

City life

There’s nothing like catching a glimpse of a new destination as you come into land, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital, will captivate your clients as soon as they arrive. It’s home to a long list of must-visit sites, including the iconic Petronas Towers. Once the world’s tallest buildings, these 452-metre-high structures are home to a shopping mall and are surrounded by green space, giving visitors some respite in the middle of the city.

Lake Gardens is also great to visit for a stroll, with 227 acres of lush greenery. Art lovers should visit the National Art Gallery, home to thousands of pieces created by artists from Malaysia and beyond.

But to really get to know the city, you have to try the local food. Jalon Alor is a good place to check out the street food scene, with plenty of hawker food stalls to choose from, while Taman Connaught is a buzzing night market.

Coastal charm

But it’s not all about the capital. Qatar Airways also flies to Penang, a coastal spot in the northwest. With lively towns, beautiful beaches to relax on and a range of cultural attractions, Penang is an authentic Malaysian destination. There’s some fascinating architecture to discover here, including Pinang Peranakan Mansion, a striking, green-coloured museum, and Khoo Kongsi, a museum and temple.

And right at the foot of a mountain in George Town, Penang’s city, is the beautiful Kek Lok Si Temple, one of the largest Buddhist temples in the country and well worth a visit.

Award-winning airline

Your clients’ holiday to Malaysia starts as soon as they set foot on board Qatar Airways. The airline offers daily flights to both Kuala Lumpur and Penang, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination. Passengers travel in comfort too, with Economy Class boasting wide seats with adjustable headrests.

Those in Business Class will be able to see why Qatar Airways won the World’s Best Business Class accolade for the 10th time at the 2023 World Airline Awards, with a lie-flat bed, enhanced meal options and designer beauty products.
