Travelling to some of the US East Coast’s biggest cities means food, art and history in abundance

Historic sites and world-famous landmarks are ready to be explored on an adventure across the East Coast of the US. Your clients can soak up the culture of Boston, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. all in one action-packed train trip – Brand USA’s Iconic Cities and Beyond itinerary.

The journey begins in Boston, a city famous for its rich history. Uncover its past on The Freedom Trail, where 16 historic stops, including the Old North Church, are interspersed with shops, pubs and food vendors. Head to Cambridge for a spot of fine dining and museum browsing, making sure to stop for a tour of the famous Harvard University. Next, pay a visit to Boston Common and the Public Garden, before ending the day at a Boston Red Sox baseball game at Fenway Park.

The next stop is New York City, where there’s no shortage of spots to satisfy the foodie traveller. Try dim sum in Chinatown, sample Greek cuisine in Queens or hop on the ferry to Staten Island to enjoy some of the city’s infamous pizza and remarkable views of the Statue of Liberty. Many of the city’s highlights can be enjoyed on foot, including Brooklyn Bridge and Central Park, while the Empire State Building is a must for soaking up the incredible NYC views.

Next, head to Philadelphia, a city full of American history. The Independence National Historical Park was where the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence were signed, and visitors can walk these halls before stopping to see the Liberty Bell.

Then there’s the Ben Franklin Museum which tells the story of one of the founding fathers of the US. Art lovers should head to the Barnes Foundation, home to some of Picasso’s classics, and visit the smaller galleries that line the streets of the Old City district.
