Abta has urged its members and other travel firms to participate in a new survey on bookings and employment challenges to help inform its lobbying efforts.
The association has launched the survey to gather data on booking trends for the Easter and summer periods, following the removal of all UK travel restrictions.
Additionally, the survey aims to assess the latest employment situation to help track the industry’s recovery from the pandemic, and examine the remaining barriers and challenges.

Emma Wade, public affairs manager, said: “The industry is clearly in a much more positive place compared to where we were at the start of the year when travel was still heavily restricted, but we know that the recovery is not without its challenges.
“We continue to engage with ministers, politicians and government officials on what the sector needs to ensure a steady recovery, and insight and evidence from members and our [Save Future Travel Coalition] partners is vital to this work.
“As we have seen during the course of the pandemic, accurate and reliable data has played an important part in the direction of public policy and will undoubtedly continue to do so in the coming months.”
She added: “Member data is a value source of information and plays a vital role in supporting Abta’s political engagement.
“We’re grateful to members for their input to date and encourage them to take part in this latest survey so we have the most up to date evidence available to support our lobbying.”
The association is encouraging firms to respond to the survey by April 29, and says it takes less than 15 minutes to complete.
