Amanda Taylor joins The Holiday Village in new BDM role

The Travel Village Group has appointed Amanda Taylor in the new role of business development manager for its homeworking division The Holiday Village.

Taylor has rejoined the travel homeworking sector after several years outside mainstream travel as sales, marketing and brand consultant for Southern Wines, and prior to that, head of travel at cosmetics company Lush.

She is well-known in the sector, having previously held senior homeworking positions, including as director of Independent Travel Experts, from 2011-2013, and as a former chair of the Association of Women Travel Executives (AWTE).

In the past she also worked for The Co-operative Travel’s Personal Travel Advisors homeworking division and Future Travel, and worked as a freelance PR consultant for The Vertical Group. She joined the homeworking sector in 1997, working for Instant Holidays.

In her new role Taylor will be tasked with supporting new and existing business owners with marketing and networking opportunities.

The Holiday Village managing director Paula Nuttall welcomed Taylor to the group and said the new role had been created as the business experiences “unprecedented growth”.

She credited Taylor with many years experience of building brands, supporting business owners and working in the industry, adding: “I am delighted to be working with Amanda once again and her extensive knowledge, experience and understanding of our business owners is pivotal to the growth and success of the Holiday Village business.

“The Holiday Village is an integral part of the group and is experiencing unprecedented growth facilitated by personal support, business development and individual entrepreneurialism.

“This role is a commitment to our business owners with Amanda facilitating any request for individual strategic support. Each individual business is different, from location to what they sell, therefore support has to be adapted accordingly.”

Taylor said: “I am thrilled to be working with Paula and Phil at The Holiday Village and their extremely talented business owners. Helping people build their businesses and brands is a passion I have shared for many years and this opportunity affords me the time and support I need to engage with the team.”

Also joining the marketing team is Layna Mcmoran, who takes on the role of marketing executive and will be supporting Taylor.
