AmaWaterways will add two river ships to its fleet in 2026, bringing its total to 31.
AmaSofia will sail on the Rhine and Danube rivers while AmaKaia sails on the Mekong.
AmaSofia is scheduled to enter service on May 24, 2026, with a 14-night Magnificent Europe itinerary sailing between Amsterdam and Budapest.
The ship will then depart on 30 more sailings in 2026, with itineraries including the line’s Melodies of the Danube, Romantic Danube and Christmas Markets on the Danube.
Meanwhile, AmaKaia is scheduled to enter service on August 3, 2026, with a seven-night sailing on the Mekong, calling at destinations in Vietnam and Cambodia.
The ship will then operate two seven-night itineraries: Charms of the Mekong and Riches of the Mekong, with 22 departures in 2026 and 38 in 2027.
