Baldwins Travel has appointed a manager for its Tonbridge branch to replace Bettina McCue who has left after 35 years.
Wendy Sharp (pictured), a senior travel consultant at Baldwins’ Maidstone branch, starts as manager of the Tonbridge shop on October 3. She has worked for the company for eight years and prior to that worked in the travel sector for more than 20 years.
Managing director Nick Marks said: “We are very sad to see Bettina leave the business after 35 years but thank her for her sterling shift at Baldwins. But, of course, we have a fantastic replacement in Wendy.”
On Facebook, McCue, who is well known among suppliers in the trade, said she had “mixed emotions” to be leaving.
She posted: “I love my job and I love working with my team but new challenges await and I am very excited for my new role.”
It is not known what McCue’s new role is.
