Classic Collection hails success of first booking platform

Classic Collection has hailed the success of its first bookable platform.

The website has been designed to “make travel agents’ lives easier” by giving the trade an instant list of holiday options with live prices from the majority of the operator’s portfolio of properties and destinations.

The platform is being rolled out over the coming weeks following a recent trial and Classic Collection is “confident” all agents will have access to the site by the end of November.

Director of agency sales & marketing Si Morris-Green described it as a “major breakthrough” for agent partners, despite not all of the operator’s offerings being available on the site as they are too “complex”.

“News of our new bookable site has been well received by agents,” he said. “The new functionality will save time for both agent partners and our contact centre sales team.

“We expect many agents to take advantage of our new site, particularly those booking more straightforward single-centre holidays.

“Other agents might not want to commit to booking online for their clients and may prefer to use the site for pricing-up options. This means that will be much further along the decision-making journey when they do call us.

“We aim to save everyone valuable time and offer an enhanced service to our mutual customers. We also hope to engage with even more agents by having a bookable site.”
