Classic Collection creates first booking platform

Classic Collection has created a new booking platform designed to “make travel agents’ lives easier”.

Director of agency sales & marketing Si Morris-Green told Travel Weekly the platform will mark the first time the operator has had a transactional website for agents, and will save both the trade and Classic Collection’s sales team time.

The new platform, which will go live on November 1, was announced at the operator’s annual conference which was held at the Abaton Island Resort & Spa in Crete.

Morris-Green said: “We have created this platform to make it really simple for our agent partners to plug in the duration and location of a holiday and to instantly get a list of options with prices.

“This will reduce the number of calls agents need to make to us because they’ll have a simple guide of what they can offer a client.

“Customers often has several enquiries before they make a decision and secure a booking so we think the new platform will make it quicker and easier.

“It also means agents will be further down the decision making funnel when they call us so saves everyone time.”

Head of sales Leanne Edwards added: “We trialled the website over the summer with some of our valued agent partners and they all loved it so we’re really excited it’s just a few weeks away from launch.”

Meanwhile, Classic Package Holidays is offering enhanced agent incentives and lower deposits on selected holidays to Turkey for next summer.

The operator has added new low deposits of £39 per person on all bookings with SunExpress flights, with agents gaining a double incentive of £20 per booking until the end of October.

Additional discounts of £50 per booking have been applied to winter sun holidays to the Canary Islands and Morocco booked by the end of the month for travel until the end of April 2024.
