He will be based in Leyland and report into head of trade support Kym Coulbeck.

“I am so excited to be given this opportunity to join the amazing B2B team at dnata Travel Group,” Marriott said.

“I have had a little break from the travel industry over the past year but I am ready and excited to be getting back to the sector that I love and which runs through my veins.”

Karen Fletcher, dnata Travel Group B2B trade partnerships director, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome Dale to our team.

“He brings a wealth of independent agent expertise and knowledge gained during his career to date and, having run his own agency, understands exactly what it is that agents need from us.

“He’s well liked and well respected by many in the trade and we’re looking forward to him hitting the ground running when he starts next month.”
