Luxury tour operator Elegant Resorts plans a second series of virtual events to help agents boost their product and destination knowledge “in a relaxed and informal environment”.
There will be six webinars in March and April, led by Elegant Resorts’ key suppliers.
Many also include a selection of drinks and nibbles sent in advance, for participating agents to enjoy.
The operator said its first series of webinars attracted more than 50 agents to each virtual event.
These included a presentation and wine-tasting experience with Tourism Western Australia, a tour of Elounda Gulf Villas in Crete, a luxury Greek culinary journey with Marriott, and a session with Mindful Escapes and Ananda in the Himalayas.
The events in March will cover hotels in Tuscany, Barbados and specialist Caribbean, plus sessions on luxury cruises and specialist cruising. In April, there will be a session on Borgo Pignano, Italy.
Jon Hardcastle, head of agency sales at Elegant Resorts, said: “We love organising these events as they are fun, informative and they help us remain in touch with each other during uncertain times.
“These sessions aim to leave agents full of inspiration which will in turn help to secure those precious bookings.
“We are keen to maintain strong relationships despite the current restrictions and, as we’ve received such an amazing response from previous events, we’ve planned many more.”
